Chattanooga Lives Green

Area 61 is next door to GreenSpaces at 61 East Main. We are trying to avidly promote good practices in furniture making and use. I  re-use materials and use materials that would otherwise go to a landfill. I’m very passionate about this particular practice because once a material is available for use it should be used as completely as possible to take full advantage of the original source and energy used to make it available. To not do that seems very wastfull and more expensive. The businesses I get these materials from mostly give them to me free so I pass this along, any that I pay for are very cheap and i pass that on also. These are good quality material (not low grade scrap) just to small or not in a form usable by the original user. I want to develope more products in this manner but need the support of the community to do so. We will all benefit.
